I’m delighted to announce a new album with Accordion maestro, Colm Gannon. Colm is a fantastic box player from Boston with musical roots in Connemara. His father, John, is a great melodeon player. After having spent the last 20 years (give or take) in Ireland, Colm is back in America. We’ve been friends for many years and played together loads of times, but have really only been performing together over the last couple years. Over that time, we put together quite a bit of material so we decided to capture some of it. Many of the tunes are ones we’ve learned from old records and tapes. Some are classic favorites, and there are a couple modern ones in there too. Michael Gavin, my brother, accompanies us on Bouzouki and John Blake is on guitar and piano. Colm and I have been working on a lot tunes over the last few years and these are some of our favorites. We hope you like them too!
